Choose from seven editable wanted poster templates for Microsoft Word. The first two show a dog on a vintage or plain white background and can be adapted into a missing-pet notice. The other five are dramatic, old-fashioned “wanted” designs suited to a Western-themed party, classroom activity, play, or fictional prop. Preview the layouts below before downloading.

Download the Seven Wanted Poster Designs

Each preview has its own download. Extract the Word file from the ZIP, save a working copy, and replace the photo and every piece of sample text. The pet previews show an illustrative $10,000 reward; that is sample content, not an amount you should promise.

How to Make a Missing-Pet Poster

1. Use a clear, recent photo. Choose a picture that shows your pet’s face and distinctive markings. The first two downloads already provide dog-photo layouts.
2. Write a specific heading. “LOST DOG” or “MISSING CAT” communicates the situation more clearly than the sample WANTED text.
3. Add useful details. Include the pet’s name, size, color, identifying marks, last-seen date and general location, and any instructions that could help someone approach the animal safely.
4. Provide a contact method. Use a phone number or other reachable contact that you are comfortable sharing publicly. A home street address is usually unnecessary on a public notice.
5. Review any reward claim. Replace the example $10,000 text. Only state an amount or terms you genuinely intend to honor, or remove the reward field.
6. Proof and distribute. Print one copy to check photo quality and readability from a short distance. Share it in appropriate local places and online groups where permitted.

For a general announcement, you can also browse our flyer collection. The beach party poster and fun fair posters are better suited to promoting an event than searching for a pet.

Using a Wanted Poster as a Party Prop

The Western-style designs are most appropriate for a fictional character at a themed party, theater production, or school activity. Replace real-sounding allegations, fake police directions, offensive language, and “dead or alive” wording with a harmless fictional description. Do not imply that an actual person is accused of a crime or that the poster is an official notice.

Pair a themed poster with a spring event poster for another promotional style, or compare our adventure tour posters if the event calls for an outdoor theme.

There are people who are always organizing adventure tours for other people like individuals willing, schools, colleges or universities or groups of people. These are usually touring companies and travel or adventure experts who adopt adventure as their business apart from their passion. To let’s say advertise or in other cases inform people about an adventure trip one is organizing, he or she needs a proper medium. People spread the news through social media, text messages, or other advertising mediums. One very important means is the adventure tour poster. These posters are usually seen pasted on the street walls, or on your library notice boards.

Tips for Design an Adventure Tour Poster

Anyone can design his or her own adventure tour poster if they are organizing an adventure tour. It can be anything from rafting river, wilderness trekking, hiking, mountain climbing, sky diving, deep sea diving, cliff diving, and speed boating, etc. Here are a few helpful tips for designing posters for adventure tours:

• The poster size should depend on the location of its display, if meant to deliver hand to hand then a suitable maximum size is A4 standard. If you plan to post on a display board, the size can be increased.
• Clearly write the type of tour you are organizing whether it is hiking, surfing, trekking, diving, or whatever it is that you are organizing. People must know what time is about.
• It is a good idea to add the background design of the poster according to your adventure tour type. Add a river boating scene if it is about boating, an attractive diving site, or a hiking trail that is attractive for the audience to gather more people for this tour. Remember visual aids always have more effect than the text on your poster.
• Inform the people about the tour details, the location, the dates, the times, and any other details that might be relevant for the people who want to join you. If there is any other way where one can get details about the tour, like your contact number or a website, do mention it clearly to facilitate the people who are willing.
• If it is a company you have, the company logo can be added to the poster.

So a big event or social gathering of people is coming up and you are in charge to inform all of them about it. What are you going to do means what do you think is the best way to make the announcement? You can go and meet in person with each one of them but that will take weeks to inform all of them or you can make flyers and distribute them to them but that needs more people to finish it quickly and if you are the only one around, you can’t do all that just by yourself. If you are thinking of making a flyer, you are very near to the best solution but you have to upgrade the flyer-making process and make a poster which is a more efficient and quicker way to tell people about an upcoming event in the school, college, office or a residential colony.

A poster is a little different from a flyer like it’s bigger in size and you don’t have to handout it to each of them but you can hang it in a crowded place like hallways, bus stops, or subway stations where people can look at it while walking and you can convey the message in lesser time. It only takes a couple of minutes to design a poster and you can quickly make hundreds of copies of the original and hang them all by yourself in public places. There are many websites on the internet that offer to make these types of posters in exchange for a few dollars but if you don’t want to do that, you can do it by yourself. You just have to follow some simple guidelines and you will have a unique and professional-looking poster in no time.

General Guidelines to create an Event Poster:

• First of all, gather all the information about that event like what’s the main theme of the event, which famous people and celebrities will be there in the event, the exact location of the event, and the time when it will start.
• Start the poster by putting a photo on the top in which you can show a present the idea of the event like if it’s a charity or an auction. The photo should be unique and eye-catching as this is the main element in a poster that attracts people.
• Below the photo, put the title of the event, and a unique name you have given to the event by the management.
• Then discuss the order of the event like if there will be speeches of different people or just a general announcement for donations.
• In order to make the poster more attractive and gorgeous, use different but understandable fonts for each celebrity that will be there.
• Then put the event-related information such as the date, place, and time. If people are required to buy a ticket to enter, mention that too along with the ticket price and the place where people could find them.
• Any particular instruction for the guest such as if they can donate any other thing besides money and the number of guests an invited person can bring to the event.
