Movie Ticket Templates

  • by

Planning a film night, school screening, or cinema-themed party? Choose from five free printable ticket layouts below. The downloads are ZIP archives containing editable Microsoft Word files: four DOCX documents and one DOTX template. Replace all sample text before printing, especially event details and repeated ticket numbers.

Quick choice: For a simple cinema ticket, try design 3. For a VIP pass, see design 4. For an event-style layout, compare design 2. If you need a general-purpose entry pass, see our admission ticket templates.

Preview each design, download its ZIP, and extract the Word file. The examples are starting layouts; their existing titles, places, dates, and numbers do not describe a real screening.

1. Simple Admit One Ticket

This repeated ticket-sheet layout says “Admit One” and currently uses a whale-watching tour as its example. Change the company name, event name, day, date, and time to make it suitable for your screening. The ZIP contains a DOTX Word template.

2. Festival-Style Event Ticket

This DOCX layout has an event name, location, date, time, price, “Admit One” wording, and a numbered stub. It currently uses a Full Moon Festival example, sample $5 price, address, and designer credit. Replace the event fields for a film festival or community movie night; review the embedded designer credit and usage rights before distributing a modified ticket.

3. Classic Cinema Admit One Ticket

A compact DOCX ticket sheet with “Cinema,” “Admit One,” and sample number 556632 repeated across the page. Add your movie title, screening details, and a unique number for each ticket if you will use them for entry control.

4. VIP Cinema Ticket

This DOCX ticket sheet uses VIP and “best seat in the house” sample wording. Edit or remove that promise unless your event actually provides reserved VIP seating. Replace the placeholder text and repeated number 8452369 before printing.

5. Cinema Ticket with Seat, Date & Time

This DOCX design has a “Seat, Date, Time” prompt and ticket-number area. Fill in the actual seat and showtime details. The sample number 79633215 is repeated, so assign distinct numbers if you need to track individual admissions.

How to Customize and Print Your Tickets

  1. Extract the ZIP. Open the DOCX in Word. For design 1, open the DOTX template and save your working copy as a Word document.
  2. Replace every sample field. Enter the film or event title, venue, date, start time, price if applicable, seat details, and organizer contact information. Check all repeated tickets on the sheet, including any stub.
  3. Manage admission numbers separately. The sample numbers repeat. For controlled entry, create and check unique numbers for every printed ticket; a Word layout alone does not validate admission.
  4. Print a proof. Use Print Preview, print at the file’s intended paper size without unexpected scaling, and check the cut lines, legibility, and front-to-stub consistency. Make one test sheet before a full run.

If you are organizing the whole screening, start with an event plan template. A fun fair poster or event brochure can help publicize a larger program, while a party invitation offers ideas for a smaller private gathering. For paid admission, keep a separate record of payments; our cash receipt templates provide editable receipt layouts.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are these tickets editable in Microsoft Word?

Yes. Four archives contain DOCX files, and the first contains a DOTX Word template. Extract the ZIP before opening the file.

Do the files create unique ticket numbers automatically?

No. The current examples repeat their sample numbers. Update each ticket individually or use a separately checked numbering workflow for controlled admission.

Can I save the edited tickets as PDF?

After editing and checking the layout in Word, use Save As or Export to create a PDF. The downloads on this page contain Word files inside ZIP archives; there is no direct PDF download.

What should a movie ticket include?

Include the event or film title, date and time, venue, admission or seat details, and the price when relevant. A ticket number and organizer contact information can also help staff handle questions at the door.
